Statement of Faith
The Bible
I believe the Bible to be the infallible, authoritative, inspired Word of God. It is beneficial for teaching, for rebuking, for correction, and for training in righteousness; so that the men, women, and children of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work (2 Tim 3:16-17).
God the Father
God is the Creator of everything (Gen 1:1). He is infinite (Col 1:17), all knowing (Is 46:9-10), all mighty and all powerful (Gen 17:1 and Eph 3:20), holy (Rev 4:8), and sovereign Rev 6:10). God is love (1 Jn 4:8), gracious and merciful (Ps 145:8), good (Ps 34:8), just (Is 30:18), unchangeable (Mal 3:6), and faithful (Deut 7:9).
God the Son - Jesus
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matt 16:16), our Lord, our God (Jn 20:28), the Word (Jn 1:1), the Way, the Truth, the Life (Jn 14:6). Jesus is one with His Father, God (Jn 10:30). Jesus lived as fully man and fully God (Lk 24:39 & Col 2:9). Jesus is the one and only Saviour (Is 43:11). He’s the perfect sacrifice for our sins (Rom 5:8) and is the only Name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). God raised Jesus from the dead (Rom 10:9) and He is the final mediator between God and man (1 Tim 2:5). He is crowned with glory and honour (Heb 2:9) and is seated at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven (Heb 1:3).
God the Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit is a gift given from God to Believers (Acts 2:38), to be our Helper (Jn 14:26), Comforter (Jn 14:16), Teacher (1 Jn 2:27), and Guide and He will lead us in the right way (Jn 16:13). Holy Spirit is God (1 Cor 3:16).
You, as a Believer
You were created by God, in His image (Gen 1:27), designed and fashioned by His own hand (Ps 139:13-15), to fulfil the purposes He has called you to (Eph 2:10). You are a child of God (Jn 1:12), a saint (1 Cor 1:2), and you were called and chosen by God (Eph 4:1 & Eph 1:4). God has precious thoughts about you (Ps 139:17-18) and you are engraved on your Heavenly Father’s hands (Is 49:16).We will appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that we may receive what is due us for the things done that we’ve done, whether good or bad (2 Cor 5:10).
Marriage
God made males and females. Marriage is instituted by God so a man (a male from birth) will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife (a female from birth), and the two will become one flesh so that they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate (Mark 10:6-9). Sex is a gift from God for unity and to produce children. This is only appropriate and designed to be so with marriage between a male and a female (Heb 13:4).
Heaven and Hell
I believe in a literal Heaven (Gen 1:1) and a literal hell (Matt 5:29). The Bible says that those who intentionally choose to place their faith, hope and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Heaven with Him (Jn 3:16, Heb 11:16). Those who reject Jesus’ gift of salvation will be thrown into hell and spend eternity separated from the Lord (Jn 3:18, 2 Thess 1:9, Rev 20:11-15).
Sin and Satan
I believe in the existence of the evil being, Satan (Mk 4:15), and the demonic realm (Matt 4:24). They are against God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and every person that God created (Gen 3:15). Every person has been born into sin (Ps 51:5) and will remain ruled by sin and Satan (Matt 4:8-10, Mk 10:45) until they accept the gift of salvation from the Lord Jesus and are adopted into God’s family (Eph 1:4-5).
Salvation
The Bible says that each person needs to come into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ in submission and servanthood (Jn 14:6 and Rom 10:9), because we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious standard (Rom 3:23). This is so we can be forgiven of our sin, saved from the eternal consequence of complete separation from God, and we can be with Him forever - in this life and in Heaven (Jn 3:16).
I believe in the salvation of sinners (those not in a relationship with God through Jesus) by grace through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone (Eph 2:8-9). Salvation from sin comes only as a gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for sin, for all who believe.
Gifts of the Spirit
I believe that the gifts of the Spirit, as spoken about in 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, are for today and that God continues to perform miracles today (Phil 4:6 & Ps 103:3-5). We are to pursue love and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts (1 Cor 14:1), yet it is Holy Spirit who ultimately decides which gift each person should have (1 Cor 12:11).
I only promote and endorse Jesus Christ and The Holy Bible in its entirety.
I don’t promote or endorse any other beliefs or spiritual practices.
